LANDSCAPE PAINTING WORKSHOP w/ Sherida {$45}

$45 for a 11” x 14” canvas
Join Sherida Johnson at Blue Barn Door {studio} where she will guide and assist you in painting on canvas! In this immersive 3-day workshop, students will explore the joy and techniques of landscape painting inspired by the soothing style of Bob Ross. Designed for ages 13 and UP, this class encourages each participant to bring MULTIPLE LANDSCAPE REFERENCE PHOTOS that inspire them - whether majestic mountains, serene beaches, forest scenes, or any natural vistas they connect with.
Together, the class will discuss and vote on a landscape photo to paint as a group, while also allowing space for individual interpretation and creativity. Students will learn foundational acrylic painting techniques such as sky gradients, layering, texture creation, and foreground elements.
Each day includes group brainstorming, open discussions about inspiration and composition, and supportive feedback to help students develop their own artistic voice. By the end, students will complete a personal landscape painting and gain confidence to continue painting independently.
Feel free to bring your own drink and a snack!
Class fee is $45 and includes all materials and clean-up.
Register online only. Payment is due 2 days prior to class day (so we can make sure we have enough materials).
Walk-ins are on a first come basis which is not a guarantee and payment is due at the door. BUT CALL FIRST!
