EXPRESSIVE FLORALS WORKSHOP w/ Sherida {$45}

$45 includes all necessary materials
Join Sherida Johnson at Blue Barn Door {studio} for a 3-day creative workshop, students ages 13 and up will explore the expressive power of flowers through drawing and acrylic painting. With a focus on imagination, emotion, and personal interpretation, this class blends playful sketching with focused instruction in both graphite and paint.
We’ll kick things off with a collaborative creative exercise: students will write down emotions, objects, and song titles to mix in a bowl. Then, they’ll complete several fast-paced 1-minute sketches based on the prompts they pull - designed to spark spontaneous visual ideas. From there, each student will pick one of their quick sketches to develop into a more detailed concept for a floral-inspired piece.
On day 2, we’ll work together on a group expressive floral painting in acrylic. The instructor will guide students through flower anatomy, brush technique, and color choices that heighten emotion and movement. Then, on the final day, students will bring in a flower reference of their own choosing. They will use what they’ve learned to create a unique, personal floral artwork.
Feel free to bring your own drink and a snack!
Class fee is $45 and includes all materials and clean-up.

Walk-ins are on a first come basis which is not a guarantee and payment is due at the door. BUT CALL FIRST!
